Here a point, there a point, everywhere a point point...
Enter...Mr. MossOak. Doing what he does best. Enter....me. Enjoying the walk maybe more than he is, watching his intensity, his talent, his athleticism.
Always on Task I have a GSP that is 11 years old going on 4. He did mellow when he turned 8 which only meant that he stopped tap dancing inside. Now, he just runs and works the fields non-stop during a hour plus run then spends the afternoons following the sun to find the best nap spots in the house.
Many people in Portland know of him due to his epic swim in Casco Bay....chasing birds...swimming from one island to the next. Previously, he never liked going in the water and we never saw him swim! Imagine our surprise! There was a huge cocktail for us when we finally retrieved him....or you could say, it drove us to drink!
They are incredible dogs that will get you out everyday. If you miss a day, they will start talking...alot!
My name is Tiffany Tappan. I am a proud native of Maine and a proud owner of a German Shorthaired Pointer named MossOak and a Black Lab named Roli.
I spent 9 years in the military as a medic. When I got out I searched for that right career to satisfy my bank account. Well, here I am almost 10 years later giving up the 50 hour corporate work week, chasing my dream.
From the time I was a little one, my family bred, raised, and showed bloodhounds. We also trained them as trail dogs (as is to their breed) to track lost humans or escapees from prison. My parents included all of us kids in on the training making it fun and exciting, for us and the dogs! After many years of that, Mom and Dad decided to take a break. I then introduced them to the breed of German Shorthaired Pointers. I had met one up close and personal and instantly fell in love with the breed, they did as well. Once again, we bred and trained them in Field Trial competitions. All of our dogs, whether it be 15 at time or 2 at time have been "top dog" members of our family.
Always on Task
